Okay, first of all A7X probably aren't the best band to pick to start learning solos they're pretty tricky if you haven't had experience with various picking techniques, as they use alot of pinch harmonics and sweeps and just a load of junk you don't need until you're very comfortable playing guitar. I'd suggest some Metallica songs are good for learning solos, i know they're cliché and to be honest, i really don't like many of their tunes, but damn does Kirk know his way around a guitar. First solo i learnt was from Fade To Black by Metallica, good stuff. The way i learn solos is just to listen to them over and over to begin with, make sure it's just absolutely stuck in my head- the melody, the tempo etc. so i can replay it in my head exactly as it is so i know if i go wrong. I then try and replay it- either straight off or get some tabs which is easier. If it's a fast solo, i pace it down first so i can understand where my fingers are supposed to go and when, and gradually make it up to speed. If there are certain parts of a solo i find tricky, i just replay that particular bit over and over until i can just do it without really thinking. I'm a perfectionist, so s with everything it's just a case of endless and annoying practise, but hell it's worth it when you can play things the way you want them played ...man i talk to much. just practise and do some scale exercises or soemthing

haha, i used to play piano. i loathed my teacher, packed that in after 2 grades. yuck. anyway, if this collab thing is gonna happen, i really don't mind what i play, just tell me what to do and i'll go record it like a wee performing monkey ;D

Ditched school for the first time in a few years 'cause i just couldn't handle the thought of going and getting yelled at for not doing work that i should have done. I can usually stick it but there was just nothing that could possible persuade me to go. So i went to my boyfriend's house, and just crashed in front of the tv, i thought "hey, this could be quite a relaxing day." Long story short, ended up have the most immense argument with him in all history of arguments, stormed out to go skating instead, Skated for a good 4 hours, but it just wasn't going my way, and it got down to the last hour and my friend knocked himself out (i really don't do blood), the ambulance took a mission to get there, and everyone was panicking all over the place. Continued, and our group was just a big mess of falling over, with 2 people snapping their decks to top it off. I've never been more pissed off or achey or just generally fed up in a long timee. Moral of the story; go to school, kids, 'cause karma will get yaaaaaaaa.

Hell, if someone wants me to play guitar, drums or even bass for them i'll do. But alas, the knack of singing in tune is something i lack. My sister's pretty good, though, maybe we could do a sort of ensemble or something. Who knows. Looking forward to stuff being posted here, though

She said or did something that meant she didn't actually have to print it all off herself, but i've forgotten what. Say you're too poor to afford paper ! I'm acually pretty happy, despite the absolutely dismal monday that has taken place. I have cracked a rib though, so i actually can't laugh or cough or sneeze without wanting to die. But, nevertheless, pretty damn good mood and tomorrow should be excellennnttt

Yesterday and last night was so good, but no i'm suffering from it. I've never felt more achey or exhausted in my entire life. Bahh.
