Emiss
i like it for stage make-up. i wouldn't wear it so extravegantly to school and all, but i really like it on stage I use that kind of make-up at school ,but that's because I'm cool like that

spaz
Putting on make up is so much effort. Actually that's a lie, I've never done it so I wouldn't know. But it looks like a lot of effort. And I don't think I want things that close to my eyes - I'm not that careful.
watchthesky
haha neither am I I've gotten a good share of eyeliner/mascara in my eye you get better after you do it a lot though
Ive seen love die_
People say I look good with eyeliner, but I don't like it plus I hate not being able to rub my eyes when I feel like it...that and I always forget, do it anyway, and ruin it. xP I wish I could pull off Hayley's eyeshadow look but NOO I SUCK. :[ Actually I've never tried it, and I want to...maybe now...haha. watchthesky
oh man, rubbing my eyes is a huge problem for me haha I got some pretty neat eyeshadow for christmas so I should try it out one day
spaz
Haha yes, I rub my eyes so much. I've only worn eyeliner once, when my friend attacked me (You don't really wanna move when someone's got something that close to your eye...) and I forgot it was there then rubbed it into my eye. That's a really amazing pain.
Ive seen love die_
Haha omg yeah it sucks. But I ended up trying out Hayley's way of putting on eyeshadow and it looks pretty good on me, so I was suprised. I'm definetly going to wear it for like concerts or stuff. Not really general wearing everyday kinda look but I LOVE it. ;] And I don't wear make up generally.
spaz
Ohh thats awesome! I wanna see a picture =) I would try on myself but I know it'd look totally crap...
watchthesky
I haven't worn eyeshadow in so long I don't have the slightest clue how it would look I used to wear purple stuff out to the side like she does though and people would always ask how I made it do that without looking stupid so I might be able to pull it off who knows
Ive seen love die_
^ Oh post pictures!!! And then tell us your secret haha. And I'll post pictures of my attempt...I bet my friends would be like "ok whatever Lisa wtf" if they saw it...whenever I do stuff like that they jsut think I'm being an obsessive fangirl or something but Hayley just inspires me...:/
watchthesky
people do the same to me especially with my hair because I have it cut like Hayley's used to be, and dye it red they did that when I was really into Avril Lavigne too and they do that if I'm listening to CKY or HIM or something 'you only listen to that cause Bam does' its stupid
Ive seen love die_
^ Yeah I hate it, you can be influenced by someone, it's like not fair to judge you like that. I want to dye my hair red, but now my friends are like "Oh cause Hayley has her hair red" and I'm like no actually I've wanted to dye my hair red for over a year...wayy before my Paramore days. :[
watchthesky
agreed I hate it its like you can't like something your idol or whatever likes otherwise you're a copycat its cheap
spaz
Yeah, it's hard to not let it faze you. But I find I pick up really useful things from all the artist/bands I really get into. Like with Avril I started skating (which I got really good at for a while) and guitar (which I've stuck with and I'm pretty good) with Veronicas I picked up vocal lessons and a newfound love for Australian music and with Paramore I picked up a really intense want to use whatever I do (hopefully it being music) to say something, not just to enjoy it. It's not wrong to be influenced by someone and try to be more like them because you believe them to be a really awesome person. Remember that (Also remember that being yourself is cool too.) watchthesky
agreed x 10 Avril did a lot of things for me too guitar I wasn't the greatest at skating I wasn't the greatest at, but now I have Bam so I'll probably try that again vocal lessons I've been doing well with I plan on learning keyboard and drums I stand up for myself more and finally know what I want to do with my life so, if people want to call me a 'copycat' then, I'd rather be a copycat than what I would be without them
Kacky
agreedits like you can't like something your idol or whatever likes otherwise you're a copycat its cheap Yeah. It's muchly annoying when people call you a copier.

And I know what I want a lot more. I just started out vocal lessons so I'm not great yet, but it's so much fun - I know for even more sure that I wanna be a musician (particularly singer) for the rest of my life. Yeah, I definately agree - I'd rather be a copycat a little than be what I would be without them, without direction, without music (GAHH!), without the confidence I have in myself and my decisions. Ew.
Kacky
Good luck with that, Spaz! Vocal lessons seem like fun...I actually considered taking it at school, but it involves singing infront of the class. I'd prefer to get private ones and then slowly make my way to a crowd. spaz
Hehe thanks Kacky. (I'm still used to the bandaids you, so I'm calling you Kacky...) Vocal lessons are fun, with my teacher at least. And he's a producer too (I take lessons in his at-home recording studio, which is aweeesome) so hopefully at some stage I'll get to record stuff. It's all very cool (and expensive...) It's like the thing that makes me happiest. But one thing I do find annoying is when you do things that you do just cause it's how you are, and it happens to be in line with someone else (like dying your hair red is a good example) so suddenly you're a copycat - and your opinions are tainted in the shadows of someone else. But that's okay, I still maintain that I'd rather be a copycat then the boring, angry kid I'd be without music and the artists that create it. watchthesky
yeah, thats a pain too. good luck with your vocal lessons! I was really shy about taking them at first because of my social anxiety, but now that I'm not shy around my coach its soo much fun. I just haven't been able to sing at any of the shows though. spaz
Just so you know, Hayley, Paramore and many fans don't really like it when fans/people hit on Hayley like that. It's not really very respectful. Thanks for the good luck! Good luck with yours, too. I've performed way before I started the lessons, but I really wanted to be really good - not just average. I do things at school all the time and try to join as many bands as I can (because it seems that none of them ever do anything. Except the one I happen to drum in, and I'm an awful drummer). My lessons are rad fun, and I felt pretty comfortable around my coach pretty much instantly.
