archiestar
I love Eisley. I cannot wait to see them on their acoustic tour.
whatsername104
yup! just got my ticekts to see them tomorrow. i'm pumped. except there's the no camera rule, which sucks a bit, but maybe we can try to get around that. hehe
archiestar
ha yeah just try and sneak one in. Sometimes tickets and stuff say no cameras but their not really that strict about it.
whatsername104
nah it's at the HOB, and they're pretty strict about it, but i know some people who have gotten away with it. the only thing is that it's in this really tiny room they have there and it holds 150 people so they may notice
archiestar
oh I see your problem. Well if you get away with sneaking it in, just wait and see if other people are taking pictures too. Then if you take some you shouldn't get in trouble.
CaleyLovesIndie
Everyone needs to check out the Invasion video! It's so gorgeous and amazing! Plus it's black and white, which is even more bad ass. Just go to their myspace 'cause it's on it. http://www.myspace.com/eisley
archiestar
I watched the Invasion video the other day. Its amazing!

whatsername104
haha it's cute. but there's supposedly two versions, and that's one of them
CaleyLovesIndie
Yeah, that was the viral video that Miranda (her last name escapes me-- she's the same woman who took their promo and CD pics though) shot. It's so gorgeous-- great cinematography. When Weston is turned, he's so creepy! My favorite part is when Stacy is a giant and Garron just looks confused and horrified. Haha. archiestar
^ ha yeah I like that part, too. I also really like the part where Sherri is in the water and all the hands come up and just take her under. I don't know I thought it looked cool. whatsername104
tonight's show was AMAZING!! their voices live are beautiful. i wasn't able to get a setlist, but i saw it before they took the stage and they played 16 songs, and a lot were new. the new ones sound so great, i can't wait for the album. here are some of the tracks i remember, not in order:: combinations telescope eyes marvelous things trolley wood i wasn't prepared golly sandra memories go away come clean ten cent blues invasion if you're wondering i could be there for you lost at sea (?) my lovely (?) the last two (my lovely and lost at sea) i can't remember if they played, but i'm pretty sure they did, and then i don't remember what exactly the other song was. archiestar
wow they play for a long time.
CaleyLovesIndie
Yeah, I love it when they headline because they play so many songs. Was the set about an hour and 15 to 30 minutes? That's how long they're usually on, so sweetness! I love it when they're on for a long time. It pretty much makes me happy. But I must say I wished they played some of their old works-- like Over the Mountains and Laughing City. And it's sad that they've stopped rotating Mr. Pine and Head Against the Sky in at their electric sets because those songs are amazing live. But they're archive is so huge so I guess they have to pimp their new songs and play the go-to's so to speak. My Lovely would sound really cool in acoustic. I haven't heard them do it before, so I bet it's gonna be amazing.
archiestar
^ yeah I agree with you about the old stuff. I wish they would play some of that on this tour. I've actually never seen them headline before. I've seen them twice supporting so I'm really excited for this show.
whatsername104
sherri said last night that they don't really like playing older songs, because they're so old and they get tired of them. this was right before Telescope Eyes, haha which everyone wanted to hear anyways
archiestar
oh that makes sense. A lot of bands get tired of their old songs like that.
whatsername104
actually, i was listening to Room Noises today =] haha and i rememeb they played Just Like We Do, but now I'm not sure that they played My Lovely. such a great fan i am, being able to recognize their songs and all ... =]

CaleyLovesIndie
Yes, I know they don't like playing older songs, but they never play those older songs, but they do play Memories, Marvelous Things, Telescope Eyes, and Just Like We Do all the time. Sure, I love those songs, but I've been to so many shows of theirs that, to me, it gets old after awhile. But I suppose those are their go-tos and they need to be played because casual listeners know those songs. So they played Lost At Sea? They haven't performed that in a while... cool. GibbyPhills
I would love to go to both but I am seeing Manchester Orchestra on the 23rd. Eisley and MO in two days is like a dream!
GibbyPhills
Sherri mentioned Paramore in her journal update today. She says how sweet the guys were when they met them on Warped when her and Stacy flew out to see NFG. The possibilty of a Stacy and Hayley photo made me pee my pants a little.
