A spokesperson for Rhino Records has announced the preliminary tracklisting for Sound Of Superman, a compilation featuring "covers and original songs that explore themes of heroism and name-drop" Superman. Among the bands confirmed for the project are Paramore (covering Foo Fighters' "My Hero"), the Receiving End Of Sirens (covering Stereophonics' "Superman"), the Academy Is... (covering R.E.M.'s "Superman") and Nightmare Of You (covering the Flaming Lips' "Waitin' For A Superman"). Bands contributing original material include Jack's Mannequin, Plain White T's and Maxeen, whose song "Save Me" is the first single from the pseudo-soundtrack and is already available on iTunes. The current participants are listed below; the label assures that this is not the final sequence of tracks, or the final list of artists, either: Sound Of Superman tracklisting: 1. The Sun "Wish I Could Fly Like Superman" (The Kinks cover) 2. Maxeen "Save Me" (original) 3. The Academy Is "Superman" (The Clique/R.E.M. cover) 4.
