my_sundown Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 spring cleaning ... oh wait [ mood | awake ] [ music | whatever hannah is listening to in her room. alphabeat??? ] i one of those people that keeps everything. ev.ree.thing. total pack rat. i will find a shirt or pair of pants that i know i hate but tell myself that it's quite possible i could need them again one day... for something! or i'll find a shred of an old scarf or a piece of some old technical object and be like "oooh i could totally make something out of this!!!" but not anymore folks... that's the old me. i just ridded my life of about 8 bags - extra large garbage bags, to be exact - of crap. my room is live-in-able once again. thank. goodness. it feels so good to get rid of things that kinda mattered once. i mean, what's the point of keeping them??? just cause it mattered once doesn't mean it's still making a difference... if anything it's just weighing you down. i spent the last week in meridian, ms. my old hometown. saw some old friends, some family. had a lot of serious down home country cookin! i denied myself the sweet tea, though, due to the fact that i'm really trying to pound the h2o... plus, my mom's sweet tea is the best anyways! it was nice getting away for a little bit but it's even better just sitting around my apartment. all organized feeling and stoked to have a place to call my own. i bought the new gym class record. yeah i know i'm a little late... blahhhh. it is deeee-licious. fergalicious, even. jk. but for real... it's great. i don't remember song titles very well but "cookie jar" (i think i got that one right) and whatever the last song on the record is called rocked my world. i think travis' lyrics have always been really creative. i remember when we opened for them and FOB and the academy is... oh and silverstein too! the FBR and friends tour in 2005. so much fun. "taxi driver" was the song that really got me into gym class. check it out just in case you never have before.
