I'm in my second year of doing this GCSE. I loathe it. Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love music in every way, shape or form- but the SUBJECT. I can't stand it. I don't mean to set you against this subject before you've barely begun, but i hope with all my heart that your experience with this course is better than mine And okay, fair enough, for the practise do whatever you feel like doing i assume you'll get the same mark scheme, though, and this will give you an idea on what's expected of you. If i had a mark sheet with me i'd type out the criteria for you as a heads up, but unfortunatly i don't. Man, it's awkward. It might as well have a big tick box saying "IF THIS PERSON IS NOT PERFECT IN EVERY SINGLE WAY, FAIL THEM IMMEDIATLY". I sound like such a grumpy git on this, but i cannot express how difficult i have found and am continuing to find this bloody course, and i'm a pretty competent musician Again, good luck haha ;D

Oh bloody hell, I'm suprised you don't already regret taking GCSE music. For a GCSE performance they're looking for technical perfection, basically- If you can sing every note perfectly how and where it's written, do that. If you can play the guitar parts flawlessly, then go for that; although be careful with electric guitars- they're very, very picky about tabs as there isn't any written notation about how it's supposed to be played: how fast, rhythm etc. If you haven't got the sheet music and you plan on playing guitar, try and get it as tabs can lose you marks that don't need to be lost. I personally wouldn't recommend singing and playing the guitar, you don't earn any extra points just because you're doing 2 things at the same time and it adds complications and again, marks can be lost that really don't need to be. Seriously, GCSE Music is hell. Sorry to be so pessimistic. However, i do wish you all the best ;D and good luck !

Despite many gay connotations seeing as i go to an all-girls school, i'm straight. The amount of homophobes in this town though is just ridiculous. I have a few Bi/gay friends and it just doesn't bother me.

Fair enough man, fair enough. Luckily i have a Dad who's as much as a game-geek as i am, and bought one for himself that i get to play. wickedddddddddddddddddddd. ...and stuff.

Mine is "everybody was kung-fu fiightinnnnggggg" ;D oh yeah. No paramore, i feel so rebellious. I can't have songs that i listen to often as my ringtone, as if it comes on my mp3 or something i automatically think "OMG MY PHONE'S RINGING" and faff about in a panic until i find my phone, only to realise what an actual idiot i am.

PS3s are the way forward. ...Actually XBox360s are even better, the games available on PS3 are poor.

Music lessons ftw. I can't bring myself to do any work, although coursework deadline's are a-looming. I cannot be bothered to do any work. I hate compositions. Actually, that isn't strictly true, i love composing songs, not bloody classical/experimental/harmonic lumps of doom. I never beleived anyone when they told me not to take Music, but seriously if anyone is considering taking Music for GCSE- don't. It's far too early to be in a good mood about anything. grumblegrumblegrumblemumble.

Haha ! you budding arsonist you. I've got the people at my school pretty much sorted, there are a few dickheads but being a dickhead back seems to put things in a lovely bitchy balance ;D Won't miss the uniforms, either.

Hahaa, okay let me rephrase; i'll miss them when i'm gone. My friends are what makes school worthwhile- we got a new headteacher this year and she's a dick. One reason why i want out.

Okay right i think people are getting the wrong idea about what i said, perhaps i didn't explain it clearly i'm not sure- most likely a fault on my part but anyway. I didn't mean they'd literally kill themselves for attention, i'm being very pessimistic here i understand but there are people out there who would attempt (not a serious attempt- there are ways of staging suicide attempts, trust me) for attention. Much like cutting. Also, there are those who will take a suicide as a very real option who had never thought about it before if it's just thrown out there. I think i'm done on this subject because i can't think of a way to put down what i know i mean in a typable sentance. If anyone catches my drift, good on them- i mean none of this in an offence to anyone, just so that's clear. Continue with you campaigns and whatnot by any means, i don't condemn them, but caution is needed.

Man, school isn't too bad. Only 7 months left of compulsory education though, and however much fun it is now i can't wait until i can do my own thing. It's not until this year when i've been asked to do so many things i've realised how much bloody time school takes up ! Ah whatever. I'll miss it when i'm gone ;D

I've seen all of heroes season 1 ;D roll on season 2, man. today has been pretty good. open day at my school, so the little year 6s got to see an insight of us sticking bits of paper to other people's faces. good times. and educational experience, i may say. I don't know why i'm in such a good mood but i sure am !

My mum would have been 50 today. today has kinda sucked more than alot.

So i spent a year and a half in a relationship, hated the last 6 months of it and finally got out- woohoo i was free etc. a week after i split up with this guy i ended up going out with my current boyfriend who i have been with for nearly 5 months now, and it's actual hell. i promised i wouldn't go for another long-term relationship for a while and what happens ?! I can't bring myself to break it up, though, for various reasons. it's driving me up the wall. I envy single people. that is all ;D
