Ryan Tedder deleted his original statement and now has an official statement. You can read it here This thing is this isn't the first time he used similar sounds. Rumors are going around that parts of Jordin Spark's latest single "Battlefield" were taken from a Christian song... I think there may be a backlash of Tedder songs as people are now taking a much more closer look at his work. Edit: just so you know Perez is actually right. They are bailing on it as they are giving it away for free. Kelly needs to get out of the label fast. This could hurt other RCA artists from doing anything good as if they don't play by RCA's rules, they get bailed on. Does RCA even have the money to do this?! I thought the record industry was in bad shape. Now is not the time to play games like this (rant over).

Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same backing track. Kelly didn't want to release the single out of respect for Beyonce but RCA forced her too (she didn't realize she was duped until after Halo came out and by then the record was already being printed. 1. Fallen isn't exactly Ev's first album. There was Origin and two EP's beforehand that were release on a different label (that later went out of business). However, if you ask Amy about this she'll say they are demos. IMO Their best work lies there before Fallen. The Open Door still had some good songs but they are not as good as the ones on Fallen or their pre-fallen material. 2. I hope not either but radio will most likely ignore them or compare them to Ev (and say that Ev was way better).

to me (and you know i have to be honest) they sound a bit too much like Evanescence. Although the song is good, I'm not jumping up and down about it. Maybe their later releases will help them differentiate a bit from Ev.
