travel_hymn
Sorry I left it a month late. LOL. Oh well let's get the ball rolling shall we? This Time Next Year These guys are a pop punk band from Walnut Creek, CA. I found out about these guys from Ross (non-mod Ross), as I did with my next band...So if you think Ross has a good taste in music...WELL CHECK THESE GUYS OUT. Their debut full length is called 'Road Maps and Heart Attacks.' They're basically a pop punk band. And they're pretty good. They're opening for Four Year Strong in January so if you're in the US then GO GO GO. I know Ross made a thread about them, but there's only been one reply in it. Haha. Click for their video for 'Alex in Wonderland.' Canterbury These guys are an alternative/indie band from England. If you like Bloc Party at all, chances are you'll like these guys. You can download their full length for FREE at http://http://www.canterburythankyou.com so GO AND GET IT!! My favorite songs are '11,12,' 'River' and 'Set You Right.' Click for their video for "Set You Right" Blackhole If you like Gallows and The Ghost of a Thousand, maybe, just maybe....you'll like Blackhole. The lead singer is Frank Carter's (lead of Gallows) younger brother, Richard. Their debut album, released in 2009, is called 'Dead Hearts.' GET IT! My fave songs from it are 'Scared to Change' 'Can't Breathe a Word' and 'Tides.' Click to see the video for 'Scared to Change.' TWO OTHER BANDS I WANT YOU TO CHECK OUT, RIGHT NOW: FIREWORKS FOALS I know the last two also have threads in here, but once again few people showed interest (I hope you appreciate my work for TTNY and Fireworks, Ross. XD), so yeah.

kwik-silva
About half way through Canterbury.. They're alright, they're not amazing (although I think it might grow on me if I keep listening to it)
Sophie_*!
I've always intended on listening to Canterbury. I think they supported Billy Talent when they were over. And did they support Enter Shikari...? I think they did.
Jorgi
I'm pretty sure i've seen Canterbury somewhere along the line. I'm not really sure. They must have supporting someone or like, just been at one of the venues at my town for some set or other because i really recognise them, and associate them with somewhere i've been. HMMN. but anyway, i dig.

Harry
Foals is quite good. Canterbury was quite cool too. Wasn't really feeling This Time Next Year at all. They sound all like their influences and nothing of an individual style. I cannot seem to make a distinction between them and any of the bands that did that same style with actual sincerity (instead of just jumping on the cookie cutter pop rock bandwagon like TTNY seem to have done) and originality in 90s, no matter how many times I listened to them. FINALLY!!!!! Yeah well I just want to promote TTNY and their album IS free. In all honesty, I prefer Fireworks over them.

travel_hymn
Yeah it counts I looove them. New album some time this year possibly? They were supposed to play with Bloc Party in Philadelphia in March or something, but it's canceled because of Bloc Party's 'hiatus.' I would have LOVED to go if I lived in PA.
