kwik-silva Posted September 16, 2009 Report Share Posted September 16, 2009 Unlucky Newcastle lads. Blackpool are a tricky side, we only managed 1 point away. They play some nice stuff at home. We just about managed to win 1-0 at Reading! For anyone who doesn't remember, we were winning 1-0 at the Madjeski Stadium last season before their keeper came up for a corner and scored in the last minute of injury time to make it 1-1. Apparently, they just got a corner right at the end and the same keeper came up and connected with an overhead kick that was brilliantly saved! Crazy stuff! You were so lucky! That goal was completely against the run of play, we were all over you for the whole of the second half, would actually like to see the stats but can't be bothered to find it now. And as for the keeper and the 'brilliantly saved' overhead kick I think they might have exaggerated He connected well but it was straight at him and simple to save. He did have a run to the half way line a couple of times though!! Not all bad, at least we created chances tonight.
