okay guro. i might be so wrong but i might be right im not so sure. im actually doing that stuff in class right and actually doing pretty well with it, but with two terms instead of three so idk if it's any different.

what i got was.

4x^3 + 6x^2 - 21x + 5

/

(3x-3)(x^2-1)(x+1)

the ^ means raised to the (so the number after would be an exponent) and the / is over like a fraction

and im not sure if you can simplify the denominator or not... you might be able to but idk so i left it.

if im so wrong then im sorry lmao

but if youre solving for x then idk what to do lol

youd prob set it equal to 0

^ I don't think thats right

the original function if X=2 was (7/3), that if X=2 comes out to be (19/27) unless I'm not doing it right

that depends if she is solving so x or not and idk if she is

im doing this in class right now and thats how i learned it but i didnt learn how to solve for x yet

Whether or not you're solving for X you still need to be able to otherwise when you simplified the function you modified it rather than just simplify.

Solving for X is literally just putting a value in for X lol. I used X=2.

So instead of like (7/3)(x-1) it would just be (7/3)(2-1), hence where I got the (7/3) from.
