Ross
Maybe that's the point. They can find out exactly what the site can handle this way.
hubabalou
I mean, the site crashed the minute Blink announced they were back together. It crashes basically every time they have a chat. I'm pretty sure it cant handle that much.
Ross
It's only ever crashed for Hayley Williams and All Time Low to the best of my knowledge. The Valencia chat, which was the largest in ap.net history, managed to go fine with no server errors.
the1
Still really enjoying this album
hubabalou
^ I quite enjoy it too. My friend Taylor is going to their Hometown Show tonight. I'm so ridiculously jealous of him right now. First he was at the Warped date with Paramore, and now he's seeing ATL in their hometown. Lucky bastard.
Ross
Holly (Would You Turn Me On?): Too much of you is never enough Too Much: Too much of anything is too much Someone's learned their lesson. hubabalou
^ Looks like a "party" set. They played all the songs they knew would get the crowd moving, with the exception of Remembering Sunday, which they threw in because its a fan favorite. Ross
Glad they've ditched Umbrella though but they've overlooked the best song(s) from the new album. And we never got Remembering Sunday. And we had plently of females who could have sung the part! Namely Hayley and Vicky from Cobra. Ohh and I'm sure there's a lassie in Meg & Dia as well. There was plently of birds to sing it, but nawwwwwwwwww. Didnae happen at Glasgow three days later either.
hubabalou
Awww, thats unfortunate. Every time I've seen it live Alex sings the girl part too. Or he has the crowd sing it.
travel_hymn
What do you think about what this guy says? I'm subscribed to him I watch most of his videos lol He's not too impressed with their music, but watch the vid.
hubabalou
I actually quite agree with him. Both full lengths don't even compare to Put Up Or Shut Up in my opinion. But I do have to say I don't agree when he says that Weightless and Damned if I Do Ya are the best songs on the album. I'm actually sort of surprised with the singles off of NP so far. I don't think they've chosen the most hook laden songs off the album. I think that Lost In Stereo is just as single worthy as the other two. That being said, I kind of find it hard to take this guy serious when it comes to All Time Low because he's wearing an Abercrombie and Fitch shirt. hubabalou
Why are we ranking it? I personally don't see the point.
Ross
Faze ranked it then I did too cause I'm bored.
hubabalou
when you're bored, dear sir, you turn into a lemming.
Ross
I'm generally bored 90% of the time I'm on here. I think I'm going to go abuse the Hey Monday thread with more pictures of Cassadee.
hubabalou
Hahaha, good plan. She's a BAMF.
the1
I still dont see why Ross doesn't like it. I am actually taken aback by how much I enjoy this album.
Ross
I don't think it's a bad album, I just think it's too much of a sideways step. There wasn't really any advancement in any aspect really. There was some really gash lyrics ("i'm just like cellophane, cause she sees right through me"[sic] being one), nothing terribly exciting happening instrumentally and most songs lacked a sense of urgency. I don't think it's a co-incidence that the songs I really quite enjoy (Weightless, Keep the Change) have that urgency. Throw in the fact it sounds more like mainstream pop-rock than mainstream pop-punk, it just wasn't really what I'd hoped for. I knew I wasn't going to get PUOSU mkII but I didn't think I'd get SWIR mkII either.
hubabalou
I hate the term pop-punk. Just saying. I personally dont believe in pop-punk.
Ross
I don't believe in genres at all but I believe they're the best way to get a point across quickly.
hubabalou
hahahaha, yeah... I'm basically the same way. But when I classify the stuff on my iTunes I've completely gotten rid of pop-punk. I just don't believe it truly exists. I actually think its basically the biggest contradiction in music.
Ross
I don't pay attention to the genres in my media player ahha. Aside from when Your Favorite Weapon was tagged as "porn groove". I sorted that out, but the rest I couldn't really care about.
