I'm sure I'm not the only one who learns something new everyday, so as the title implies, post in this thread whatever it is you found out today that you didn't know if the first place.

 

Today I found out that:

 

-The Nazi swatstika was actually a Hindu symbol for peace and harmony originally used in the Roman times, it's original meaning was just corrupted when the Nazi's adopted it.

-In Early Modern England, you could lose all personal honour by having a drink in the local tavern with the local executioner. :/

 

And go. :)

really? Omg i don't know much about the history of my country..:shifty:

but i hope i'll learn it soon in school. lol

 

today i learned

- that i can't speak with everyone around me

- that it's useful when you don't sleep in the lessons

- that i should be more carefully in the things i do

I learned that dreaming is not very useful...:nono:

i learned that in Ancient rome, when you killed someone, the romans would tie the rotting dead body to you, and stick you in a cell with the body chained to your back. so as the body decomposed and the bugs and thigns started to eat away at the body they would eat you too. and you would catch diseases from the dead body and all kinds of fun stuff
