roxchick93
First of all what President in their right mind WANTS war? You and many others are making completely moot points and irrational comparisons. It would be like me saying, McCain is strongly against abortions, but hes pro guns and OK with the possibility of a man with a gun shooting a pregnant woman. Do you see how that statement is completely ridiculous? That is what your arguments sound like, reassess them fast. . no president wants war. but republican relize its nessacary at moments. like after 9/11 were we just supposed to let terrorist bomb us and do nothing?!? obama wants to talk to terrorist. news flash: THERE TERROIST. they dont talk, they bomb. and gunas ar for PROCTECTION. lets say a guy walks into your house ready to kill you (cuz lets face it. bad guys kno how to get guns if there banned. they dont exactly follow laws) or rob you or something. if you had a gun you could protect your self. of course there are bad thing bout guns but if people had them also for protection then i think it would make a murderer or robber to think twice if they knew that the person there robbing could have a gun. ctrime rate would actually drop. and if a 16 year old girl gets pregnant from her boyfriend and he's gunna shoot her or sumthing. people have to realize. having a baby like that is OPTIONAL. they didnt have to have sex, people kno the consequences. now am i saying it right to kill some one for a baby? no of course not. but if someone really wanted to be on the safe side then they wouldnt have done it in the first place. and lets say it was rape. i dont like how thats peoples excuse to get an abortion. okay so there lives will b inconvienenced for 9 months. yes that is unfortunate but is it really worth killing a baby over? no its not. hey maybe my teacher is inconviencing me over so much home work. its doesnt mean im gunna kill them. also obama is gunna make is mandatory for ALL hospitals to preform abortions. even the christian ones, who have morals, and dont want to. the only situation abortion should ever be acceptable is if the baby is going to be born with out like a brain or with a terrible disease that would just make them suffer. (i believe its ty sachs disease. where like the kid is just a vegatable for 5 years and then it dies) then i would understand abortion or if the mom is in danger. other than that then no. would God want a poor little innocent baby to die? im catholic and i could never even think about killing child. its really is heartbreaking. for anyonee who cares. watch this.the whole thing. and once you do i gaurentee you little brain washed obama lovers cant defend him.but instead (like always) talk aroudnd the issues. it basicly prove how fucked obama is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4XPupsVgNc according to obama there are 57 states yayy! he's our new president. president barack hussien obama of the 57 united states of america =p
Sanguis Dominus
would God want a poor little innocent baby to die? im catholic and i could never even think about killing child. its really is heartbreaking. So long as they're not the first born son of any Egyptian family, he doesn't care if they die. Church and state are seperate for a reason. Itsgettingcloser
There was a perfect example of the difference between socialism and what Obama is trying to do in the news today. Obama put a salary cap for senior executives on the banks that were bailed out. "This is America. We don't disparage wealth. We don't begrudge anybody for achieving success," Obama said. "But what gets people upset — and rightfully so — are executives being rewarded for failure. Especially when those rewards are subsidized by U.S. taxpayers." roxchick93
Obama sends 17,000 more US troops to Afghanistan. and he moved when going to get out of the war to 28 months when bush's time frame was 18 months. and yet i thought he was against the war? haha. oh he's backing down now. maybe common sense is setting in. {Alice Cullen}
i'm a registered democrat and so obviously i voted for Obama. I just didn't go out there and vote, i did research on each candidate to see if maybe, just maybe McCain had a better plan than Obama. I didn't like what i saw so i didn't vote from him, and i hate Palin. That is my opinion and ya'll have yours that's right bro, wipe that dirt off your shoulders! so peace out *throws up a peace sign*

Itsgettingcloser
haha i love how no one replies to this. oh come on. seriously doesnt anyone think that obama backed down on his original stance? He needs to clean up Bushes mess since Bush was so focused on attacking and using our resources on another country (Iraq) despite the fact that the real threat has always been in Afghanistan. Obama still plans to withdraw troops from Iraq and is actually going to explain when and how in the next few weeks. Mr. Obama said in a written statement that the increase was “necessary to stabilize a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which has not received the strategic attention, direction and resources it urgently requires.” Thanks to sloppy leadership of one of the worst Presidents that has graced our nation. I hope you guys are watching the address to congress.

You make no sense. This republican response that Bobby Jindal is giving is irritating me, hes complaining about Volcano monitoring systems? Wtf, does he want another massive loss of life in the hundreds of thousands similar to the tsunami that hit Sri Lanka?
kwik-silva
^ Surely things have become clearer now he's president? Itsgettingcloser
How ironic was it to watch the Governor who has had billions of dollars spent on his state to recover from Katrina complaining about $100 million spent on the study that is intended to help us understand natural disasters. wow GOP just wow. So yeah its your party's fault *nods*. cmon we are already $2,000,000,000,000 in debt.. thats double the Bush average debt for a year. we can't afford this kind of ludricous spending right now. plus, most of us know how natural disasters work... i mean cmon anyone with an eight grade education knows this. so sir, you just committed an epic fail! LOL you bring the lulz and I thank you for that. Its not a matter of knowing how natural disasters occur its how to predict them more efficiently, we don't even know for sure how tornadoes are formed, just guesses and theories. Not spending money and effort to better understand our environment and how it works is just complete ignorance of the highest degree. It pains me that you don't understand that grade school concept. lilley_1
^ Katrina was predicted days before it happened thank you very much... and its a hurricane. There is also already research going on in this field... so thinking there is no money or research what so ever in weather is ignorant in itself. The problem is that we are sooo much into debt that while putting more money in that kind of research is nice... its not 100% aboslutely necessary to keep this country alive. We are 2 trillion dollars in debt (just in the past six months) and 1 trillion of that was Obamas doing (within his first month of presidency). On top of that Dems are proposing another $500 billion spending bill. Cmon, if republicans proposed reasearch on tornados right now or a $500 billion spending bill, you would be completely outraged. You're playing party politics and not looking at the bigger picture. You can't spend your way out of this... For example FDR was elected in 1933 spent a lot of money into new programs and until the last few years was deemed god. However, historians are now coming out and saying that all his spending actually prolonged the depression (it was WWII that brought us out of the great depression). I'm not pulling this out of my butt... look it up. Bottom Line: You can't spend your way out of a recession or depression. Sorry but all this spending is gonna make worse. Whenever Obama speaks, the market crashes (or significantly goes down).
