Ross
My friend's band's supported them too! haha, just last night (or tonight, I don't know haha). Not Advised's Fight For This EP's one of the releases of the year for me.
Jordypord
Well if it was aberdeen it would have been tonight! Not advised were alright, the songs were a bit too samey for me, and the guy sounded alot like patrick stump i thought:shifty: they did have one song that stuck in my mind, "situation" or something
Ross
Ahh nah, it was Edinburgh they played. This was about the 4th or 5th time they've played with Not Advised. And my other friend's band opened for Hosuton Calls and Farewell who supported YMAS on their October tour last year. A Red Light Situation, it's a tune! hubabalou
They were really good last night. Just saying. And Josh was really nice when I was talking to him.
kwik-silva
I can't imagine they'd be that great if you were standing in the guildhall not knowing any songs, 'just saying'
hubabalou
Well, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. I thought they were really good. They were a good opener for the show and they really got the crowd going. I mean, its not like they were the most fantastic thing I've ever seen live, but they were enjoyable. Hell of a lot better than The Secret Handshake, who played after them.
kwik-silva
fair enough
hubabalou
Plus, I only knew one song completely... and I still enjoyed it. It may have to be something with the whole fact that we don't often get British bands like that in the States.
kwik-silva
generic pop bands with a really annoying vocalist? oops, I honestly don't come in here to flame them, it just happens
hubabalou
No.... thats not what I mean. lol. I meant British bands in that scene. Normally when British bands come to the US its really indie stuff... or super mainstream stuff. You have to understand that as a girl, I'm a total sucker for a British accent. So a guy with a British accent that can somewhat sing/play music kind of excites me. lol. Yes, I'm being superficial in a sense, but at least I'm being honest. kwik-silva
fair enough, I'd still prefer to listen to 'indie' stuff (I guess you mean stuff like bloc party? ) than YM@
hubabalou
I totally understand that. I would love to see someone like Bloc Party, but a lot of the time when bands like that tour around here tickets sell out super fast or they dont come anywhere near where I am. Its a bummer. kwik-silva
Fair enough, that sucks, tonight might be the last time I get to see them They're taking a break after this... however this isn't a bloc party thread
hubabalou
Awww. Bummer. But thats very true about it not being their thread. I'm just saying. I enjoyed YouMeAtSix. And I thought Josh was a very nice fellow. When it comes to the Brits I'll take what I can get. lol
