SalsaC Posted September 2, 2009 Report Share Posted September 2, 2009 It's all relatively easy, the part that might kill you, as it did me, is the very last sweep, which is a 6 string G# diminished sweep. I must mention I play this in E standard though (E standard to 6 strings.........B standard to cool bastards like me who own a 7 string :twisted:), so understandably the stretches become a bit bigger and the diminished sweep becomes particularly challenging. Between The Buried And Me - Backwards Marathon Tabs are for pussies:p, I worked out 95 per cent of it by ear and the rest that wasn't possible to pick up by ear by just watching Paul Waggoner play it and then moving it down 3 frets on my guitar. Ohh, Backwards Marathon, awesome song, I love how the opening riff really suits the name of the song, I should listen to that now just to hear that riff.
