Apparently vamps + vamps can't have children, but human + vamp works. Edward and Bella get married relatively early in the book. Bella gets pregnant during their honeymoon. She becomes a vamp during childbirth (they have to turn her because she's dying). Jacob imprints on Nessie, E & B's baby. OMG. Seriously. Nooooo. But...I'm currently on page 300, in Book II, and I'm completely in love with it. I'm so glad I don't have to read this entire book from Bella's perspective...I really can't stand her. Kristen Posted August 2, 2008 Report Share Posted August 2, 2008 I've just started Book Two - Jacob. There's change in how the characters are and the writing. It has a different feel to it than the other books. Maybe part of that though is that Bella and Edward's relationship has changed a bit. The honeymoon was sweet at some points, but odd at others. =/ I still just wish some of the major events hadn't been ruined for me. Like her getting pregnant and how she gets changed (or rather, what leads to her getting changed), and Jacob imprinting. Pretty much the major points and I didn't get to experience any of the firsthand, damnit. And now it makes sense about Bella getting pregnant.
