Yeah, I know what mics I want anyway and I know how to get them brand new for about half the retail price anyway, so I'm not worried. It annoys me that good vocal mics of the same brand are twice the price of instrument mics, but considering condenser mics are a more expensive design, it makes sense. I want to buy an instrument mic anyway, because I want to learn how to mic up guitar amps and stuff, so I'll probably buy a Shure SM-57, which are fairly cheap but do the job quite well.
