EasyTarget Posted January 31, 2009 Report Share Posted January 31, 2009 ^ me too. it sorta gets weird with the whole "I'm atheist" thing xP but i like it's simplicity Yeah, I've always loved My Heart but when I found out it was directed toward God, it kind of put me off a bit as I felt less relative toward the lyrics. But, you know, so long as you enjoy the music, it doesn't matter if you are in the same mindset as Paramore. I just forget it's about God and imagine it's about what I want it to be about. I'm still not that fond of miracle although the live version is awesome The other two have really grown on me though. Especially I caught myself. Because, I'm not usually into songs with the screaming, lol. But it only took a second or third listen for it to be right up top with my other favourite, Conspiracy (which, I always loved. No growing needed). The screaming from Josh just adds to the incredible intensity and rawness of the song, LOVE. IT. My other ones would be When It Rains and Hallelujah.. Does that make sense? Makes perfect sense. I think thats the great thing about music, people can interpret the lyrics however they like. It doesn't matter if it was written about something else. I mean, they could have written a "God, I love you, my heart belongs to you" sort of song, but obviously there can be no interpretation for the listeners. So, for them it's about God, for us its about, well whatever we want it to be lol. Ah, I love that about music.
