I was like....wth is your problem? I felt stupid standing around listening to the music, but since I was the only one there for the listening party the woman who worked there tried to make it a bit fun for me because she liked the band too. So, in between every song she'd be like "AND WHO IS THIS?!?!?!" and I'd be all "PARAMORE!!!!" and people kinda just stared at us. Lolz. For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic didn't sound too different, same version that's on the internets already. Misery Business had a longer guitar intro. Born For This had the "we want the airwaves backkkkk, give us the airwaves backkkk" (or whatever she says) part that she sings live in it. Uh.. hallelujah wasn't changed up too much at all, but it was definitely re-recorded because the vocals were louder and clearer. I loved all the new songs except for one.. it was totally P!ATD with female vocals. Oh well.. I'll get used to it eventually. All you P!ATD fans will love it right away, I'm sure. After it ended I was on my way out of the store when the lady who worked there stopped me and was like "TIME FOR A PARAMORE QUIZ!!" Me: Oh god, I'm going to fail this. I don't know too much about them. Lady: Haha well give it your best. What is the singer's name? Me: Hayley Williams.. Lady: Who are the current 4 members? Me: Hayley, Josh, Zac and Jeremy Lady: What tour is the band co-headlining this summer? Me: Warped Tour Lady: What is the name of their first album? Me: All We Know Is Falling Lady: Can you name a former member of the band? Me: Uh.. Hunter Lady: What record label are they on? Me: Fueled By Ramen Lady: And lastly, when does RIOT! hit stores? Me: June 12th Lady: I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU DIDNT KNOW TOO MUCH!! *laughs* Me: Haha. So what's my prize? Lady: Aww we don't have any.. we suck Me: You could give me the new album! Haha! Lady: Dang we don't have it yet.. our music comes in via satellite Me: Ah, I see. Then I left. So all you people who are thinking the "hot topic idiots" are going to leak it, think again. paramoreLOVE x Posted June 2, 2007 Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 i was extreamly dissapointed with the trivia. i was like GIVE ME A CHALLANGE. it was me and 2 friends that were there noone else was there for paramore. i was disapointed i thought more people would have came. as for the songs i listened but didnt really really listen... becuase i still want the surprise. the guys there were so funny and kinda weirded out how much i knew. and my friend blurted out that i was on the song so they made me point out when my part came haha it was funny. and thats what you get is going to be a hit i know it. its sooooo good i loved it so excited. tonight was a sucess i think. well for us :] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fences was the only one I didn't like too much.. at least I think that was the one. Whatever one sounded like P!ATD with a female singer. Even if they did listening parties etc here (which obviously, they so wouldn't), I don't think I would have gone. I like the moment I first listen to a cd to be good. Anyway.. yay for RIOT! But not only that, I just didn't get into the song much. But my favorite, like most of the consensus, was That's What You Get. Sooo catchy! I really wished it was louder so I could here it better. And they didn't do any trivia or anything and some people on LJ said that they were going to give out stuff and they didn't. =( But, from what I could tell, RIOT! is AMAZING. microwave37 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 i went && i was the only one there. i walked around the store about a million times && looked at every freakin' thing in the store. i reallly liked it though. very different from all we know, but still good. i still can't get over how much better hayley's voice has gotten. i lovvvvve hallelujah, it's been my favorite paramore song since i heard it. i really liked fences, too. it was different, i liked it. i can't wait to get my own copy && never stop listening to it.
