Hiroki Posted August 14, 2008 Report Share Posted August 14, 2008 I've got a lot of time and patience for Metallica (even though they haven't released a good album since ...And Justice For All) but I am in two minds about this new album. On the one hand they are trying to recapture the power and the energy that made them Metallica in the first place which is great but on the other hand if they try too hard it will just come across as a parody of their former-selves. My fav songs are The Four Horsemen, Ride the Lightning, Fade to Black, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Fuel and Sad But True among many others. I'm under the impression that Kirk Hammet's guitar skills = God-like, especially on the early albums. Hopefully the new album will be as good as their other work.
