begining sound like metal then switches to grunge by my opinion...but that is just me:rotfl:

 

Grungy, but more Alice In Chains than Nirvana.

I never really liked Nirvana to be honest, but I LOVE Alice In Chains and draw a lot of inspiration from them.

I posted my clips on the Andy Sneap forum, where a bunch of audio engineers/audio engineers-in-the-making-nutcases gather and what I found amusing and I guess cool too, was that one guy much more experienced than me like the sound of my snare (except for some of the bottom end frequencies, he said it was otherwise quite good).

The honest truth about the snare is that it's a sample I used randomly in my DAW Software, not knowing what were good snares or not, and just stuck with it and started EQ and compressing it in the hope it sounded okay.

Turns out people think it's quite good. Good luck has came my way :rotfl:
