Its not the original design, because after talking to the tattoo artist we simplified it because the original was just way too complex and it would have blurred really quickly and I didn't want that. Well, apparently it's one of the most painful spots. It was my first (and only, so far) so I can't compare it to other areas, but for me, it wasn't that bad. I mean it definitely hurt, kind of like cat scratches, and it's the worst right on the bone. But as someone who hates needles, it was tolerable.
