It's also usually set up off in like a side area away from the bulk of the stages - it's a pretty tiny stage. It'd be really weird if they were playing Ernie Ball - they're too big for that, imo. That's so awesome that you got to experience that, that has got to be one of the best concert stories i've ever read Kinda offtopic, but.. I was picked to be on the "warped panel", and I'll pretty much be doing the same thing as you did, helping set up before the show..etc.. and I was just reading around different sites, and someone said that if you're on the warped panel, you get to be on stage for the band of your choice, and you get to be backstage. I didn't know it was actually like a backstage pass, I thought it was just a free ticket! I didn't hear anything about it either, but I read this guys review on the official warped site. Here's what it said: i was on the one in minneapolis and you should really make sure to get there on time...i was a little late and laura didnt seem too happy. after you get there you will do a little work, get your pass, and get into the venue about 10-15 minutes before the crowds. you get to pair up with someone and pick a band that you both want to be on stage for, laura goes with you. i was kind of dissapointed because all we got was a wristband pass, which didnt get me backstage after i left it. security was kind of lame. basically once you get escorted backstage by laura, stay there until you're sure you want to leave because theres a good chance you wont get back in. p.s. laura is the girl in charge of warped panel stuff.
