Like with the weather changing and wiping out the dinosaurs. There was no global warming when that happened. It's like a "circle of life" thing... so I don't know how much to believe about Global Warming and if the changes are really our fault or not. The olympics is gonna be a joke out there... that lake was wrecked with green algae stuff because of pollution and the skies are constantly grey because of all the pollution. Sure, we may be able to reduce the effects these things have, but in the end, we can't really control or put an end to them. We had an ice age and now we're burning to death. It's going to happen. We can do as many things as possible to try and prevent it, but ultimately, there is no ending it--there is just reducing the level of effects it has on us. We can't prevent natural disasters.
